大正15（1926）年、島根県津和野町に生まれた安野光雅は、半世紀以上にわたり画家、絵本作家、装丁家として多彩な活躍を続け、独創的な作品は国内外の高い人気を得ています。本展では、絵本のデビュー作『ふしぎなえ』から、近年の大作『繪本 三國志』まで、やさしく、美しく、ユーモアと不思議にあふれた安野ワールドを紹介します。
Born in 1926 in the town of Tsuwano in Shimane Prefecture, Mitsumasa Anno has been active in many fields for over half a century as a painter, a picture book author and a book designer. His unique works are highly popular among people not only within Japan but also overseas. This exhibition intends to introduce the gentle, beautiful, humorous and wondrous “World of Anno” through his works from his debut picture book, “Fushigina E” (Mysterious Pictures) right through to his recent major work, “Ehon Sangokushi”
(A Picture Book of Annals of the Three Kingdoms).
